ABCFP ForesTrust is our registered charity. It works to create endowments at post-secondary institutions in British Columbia. Income earned on these endowments is used to grant scholarships and bursaries to forestry students—individuals who are the future of the forestry profession.

You Can Make a Difference
ForesTrust has a long way to go to achieve its goals and needs your help to continue its tradition of helping fund the education of forestry students. There are several ways you can help.

Make a Cash Donation
Donations to ForesTrust are tax deductible and can be made by cheque, money order, Visa or MasterCard. Monthly contributions can also be arranged. Have you considered contributing a gift in the memory of a colleague or including a charitable bequest in your will?

Donate to the Silent Auction
ForesTrust holds a silent auction during ExpoFor, the ABCFP forestry conference and annual general meeting. In its first year (2004), this one event raised more than $5,000. ForesTrust is seeking donations for the auction.

Bid on Silent Auction Items
The silent auction is will take place online for ExpoFor 2010 during April. This means that more people can participate, have a chance to bid on fabulous items and support the association’s registered charity.

Other Funding Sources
In addition to generous contributions from individuals and money raised at the silent auction, ForesTrust relies on surpluses from our annual general meetings and commissions earned on member services. In 2004, ForesTrust also received a one-time $10,000 contribution from the Foundation for Education & Advancement in Technology, the registered charity of the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC.
