We regularly seek feedback and input from our members
about our activities and before launching major new
services or initiatives. Our consultation processes
come in several forms, and all members are encouraged
to participate.
Member Meetings
We host regular member meetings in communities
throughout BC. These meetings give members an opportunity
to learn more about association activities and share
their suggestions and concerns. Check our ABCFP Calendar
to find listings of upcoming member meetings. [more]
Surveys
We conduct regular membership surveys and salary
surveys. In addition, we occasionally conduct in-depth
surveys to gauge members’ opinions on a specific
topic or initiative. [more]
Discussion Papers
Before launching a major new initiative or
publishing a guidance paper, we commonly publish a discussion
paper during the development phase and seek members’
input on the direction it is taking. [more]
Informal Votes
From time to time, the association solicits
members' opinions on other association matters such
as the website, logos, certificates and publications.
While these are not official balloting processes, they
provide an opportunity for members to have their opinions
reflected in association activities. Members will be
notified about these voting opportunities on our website,
in the e-newsletter and in the magazine.
Contests
At other times, we hold contests to seek input
from members on a specific topic.
There are no contests open at this time.
