Appeals Committee
Hears appeals from enrolled members seeking to continue
their articling period in the face of failure to
meet requirements for registration (including exam
failure). Established as needed.
Academic
Standards Subcommittees Help set the accreditation standard for
each core academic subject area required for entry
to the profession. Assist the Board of Examiners
in making accreditation decisions.

Professional Editorial Board
Provides advice and guidance on the content and
production of BC Forest Professional magazine. [more]
Board of
Examiners
Advises council on the range of policy issues from
admissions through registration. Sets entrance standards
for applicants. Decides accreditation status of
educational institutions. Sets and administers examinations.
Board of Examiners Life Membership Advisory Panel
Reviews a life membership candidate’s credentials and makes recommendations to the BOE on whether the candidate has met the life membership criteria and if council should grant life membership under ABCFP Bylaw 5.14.
Continuing Competence Committee
Advises the CEO on issues related to the self-assessment, voluntary peer review and practice review elements of the ABCFP Continuing Competency Program and adjudicates practice reviews requiring corrective measures.

Discipline
Committee
A standing pool of registered members from which
a panel is drawn to hear a discipline case against
a member or to make a determination on alternative
dispute resolution settlement proposals.
ForesTrust
The ABCFP's registered charity that works to create endowments at post-secondary institutions in British Columbia. Income earned on these endowments is used to grant scholarships and bursaries to forestry students. [more]
