Ian Emery, RFT, graduated from BCIT in 1992 and started working for Interfor as a timber cruiser in logging camps located from Hope to Prince Rupert. He transferred into the engineering department in 1993, working out of Port Hardy. Since 1997, Ian has been based out of Campbell River, working mainly in the Bute Inlet area. Ian attained his professional RFT designation with the ABCFP in 2004. Says Ian, “a real perk of my job is getting my boots on the ground, breathing in fresh air and hiking through the rugged beauty of our coastal mountains.” Ian and his wife live in Black Creek with their two young sons. |
