Before You Submit Your Application:
Application Review and Process Charts
The association takes the following steps to
review your application:
| 1. |
Check for eligibility. If you are
not eligible to apply for the membership category
you have indicated, your application will not be processed. |
| 2. |
Check for completeness. Remember to include both
applicable fees (application and annual membership
fees). If your application is incomplete, it will
be placed in a pending file and you will be sent
an e-mail indicating the missing documents. |
| 3. |
Work experience anniversary date set on the
day your complete application is received. This is the
date we begin crediting all your acceptable work
experience towards the required articling period
(usually 24 months). |
| 4. |
The board of examiners reviews your application
and recommends approval to council. If your application
is not approved, the registration department will
work with you to address deficiencies. |
| 5. |
Council approves application. |
| 6. |
Granted enrolment status as a Forester-in-Training (FIT) or Trainee Forest Technologist
(TFT). You will receive a welcome letter containing details about your membership, including a membership ID number and information necessary to give you access to the members only logon section of our website. |
The application review process takes six to 12 weeks.
