The Practice of Forestry
In British Columbia, the Foresters Act defines
the practice of professional forestry and limits it
to certain members of the Association of BC Forest Professionals,
namely registered professional foresters, registered
forest technologists and special permit holders. The
Foresters Act may impact how your organization deals
with forest issues and who you hire to carry out forestry
work.
Is an Individual Registered?
When a position needs to be filled by a forest professional,
make sure your candidates are registered with the ABCFP
and eligible to practice professional forestry in BC.
