Life membership is a special honour available to individuals who have made an exemplary contribution to the profession of forestry or the practice of forest technology. Life membership allows you to remain actively involved with the profession and the affairs of the association. As an added bonus, there is no annual membership fee.

How to Apply for Life Membership

1. Determine your eligibility. To determine if you are eligible to apply for life membership, please refer to the Change of Status Policy and the Life Membership document below.

2. Complete and submit the Change of Status Form.

3. Your request will be forwarded to the board of examiners for consideration.

Nominate a Colleague for Life Membership
Did you know you can nominate a colleague for life membership? If you know a member who has recently retired or who is about to retire who has made an exemplary contribution to the profession or the practice of forestry, we encourage you to nominate him or her for life membership by completing the nomination form below.

Reinstatement
If you later wish to return to practise, you may be eligible to reinstate to your former membership class and category. See the Reinstatement page for more information.
