Your enrolment period begins when your application for membership
is accepted and runs until you have met all of the requirements
and qualify for registration as a Registered Professional

You & Your Sponsor
Foresters-in-Training, Forestry Pupils and Trainee Forest Technologists must participate in our Sponsor Program as a condition of the enrolment period. Find information about this program, including annual evaluations and how to change your sponsor. [more]
Work Experience
During the enrolment period, Foresters-in-Training, Forestry Pupils and Trainee Forest Technologists are expected to obtain a minimum number of months of relevant work experience under the supervision of a registered member. Learn more about work experience requirements here. [more]
Core Competency Requirements
Once your application for membership has been approved, you will be sent written notification indicating if you will be required to complete any additional course work during your enrolment period. Check this page for more details about Core Competency requirements. [more]
Registration Exam
Our registration exams test your knowledge of professional issues and the legislation and policy governing forest resource management in British Columbia. Extension Requests
If you do not complete all of the necessary requirements of your enrolment period in the time allotted, you will be removed from membership. In certain circumstances, you may be granted an extension to allow you more time to complete the program requirements. Find out how. [more]
