Certificates of Registration, Special Permits, stamps and seals are indicators to the public and your employer or client that you have the qualifications and the right to practice professional forestry in British Columbia.
Certificate of Registration / Special Permit
Your Certificate of Registration or Special Permit is
your license to practice professional forestry in BC.
You must prominently display your certificate or permit
at your office or other place of business. You will
be issued an annual membership sticker each year upon
payment of your annual membership fee. Affix this sticker
to your certificate or permit to indicate that you are
a member in good standing.
Replacement certificates and permits can be ordered from the registration department. There is a charge for replacements. [more]
Stamps and Seals
As a registered member or special permit holder, you must sign and stamp or seal all professional documents prepared by you or prepared under your supervision. More details about which documents must be signed and stamped or sealed are contained in the ABCFP bylaws and the RFT Signing & Sealing Guidelines.
All registered members and special permit holders must obtain a stamp or seal. Stamps and seals can only be ordered from Custom Stamp & Engraving Ltd. [more]
Property of the Association
If you resign or are removed from membership, you must surrender your Certificate of Registration or Special Permit, annual membership sticker, stamp and seal to the registrar. These indicators will be returned to you should you later be reinstated as a registered member or special permit holder.
