Your membership must be renewed for 2012 so that you
can continue to practise forestry in BC. A membership
renewal notice will be e-mailed to you in early October
2011. The deadline to renew your ABCFP membership is
December 1, 2011.

Steps to Renew
Your Membership*
| All associate members, registered members, conditional registered members, transferring forest professionals, members with special permits for limited licences granted with a permit term of three years or more must
complete three steps to renew their membership: |

Enrolled members, retired members, life members and honorary members only

If you haven’t completed all the required steps
by December 1, 2011, you will be subject to additional
fees. If you haven't completed all of these steps by
January 31, 2012, you will lose your right to practise
professional forestry in BC.

Change of Status (Retirement, Leave of Absence or Resignation)
If you are currently retired, unemployed, on parental leave, returning to school, working outside of the province, medically unfit to work, etc and are not practicing professional forestry in BC as defined by the Foresters Act you may be eligible to apply for a change of status. For more information, refer to the Change of Status page, Change of Status Policy and Registration Policy.

Note: Conditional RFT’s and Special Permit Licence Holders are not eligible to apply for a change of status.
For members applying for a change in membership status, the association must receive the completed applications by December 1 or administrative fees will apply. If completed applications are not received by January 31, you will or lose your right to practise professional forestry in BC.
