Practice review is the third element of the continuing
competency program. It is the only association-led component
of the continuing competency program. The purpose of
a practice review is to provide members with an assessment
of their competency in their areas of practice in order
to achieve a more knowledgeable and viable group. Also,
this element should demonstrate the effectiveness of
the other two elements of the continuing competency
program.
Practice Review Summary
In 2009, the ABCFP carried out 13 practice reviews on members chosen at random as well as a few members who volunteered for a review. Below is a summary of findings.
