Do you occasionally find you need someone to help you
answer a question about professional practice, conduct
or ethics? Consider using the association’s free
practice advisory service that offers a confidential
peer-based advisory service to members.
This service is not intended to provide legal advice,
but rather, to provide suggestions from experienced
forest professionals. They don’t have all the
answers, but they can usually point you in the right
direction or at least provide you with a range of perspectives
for consideration.
How Does the Service Work?
Send your questions about professional practice
or conduct to the registrar and director of act compliance or any member of the professional
practice committee. Your questions will be circulated
anonymously to other committee members. Their input
will be gathered and a draft response will be prepared
(giving consideration to the Foresters Act,
association bylaws, professional standards, etc.) and
forwarded to you anonymously.
Confidentiality
This service is totally confidential and has no connection
to the association's discipline process. Your name will
not be distributed or documented. To ensure confidentiality,
we recommend you do not fax or e-mail your request.
