Sections
Letters
This section is intended for
feedback on recent BC Forest Professional content and
for brief statements about current association, professional
or forestry issues. The word count limit is 300 words.
Viewpoint Articles
This section provides space for articles written about each issue's theme. For example, a Viewpoint article in May/June 2010 would be about tenure reform. The word count limit is 700-800 words.
If you think your article will be signicantly more or less words, please contact the editor to discuss options at editor@abcfp.ca.
Interest Articles
This section provides space for articles on issues relevant
to the forestry profession and our readers that do not relate to the issue's theme. The word count limit is 700-800 words.
If you think your article will be signicantly more or less words, please contact the editor to discuss options at editor@abcfp.ca.
Book Review
If you’ve uncovered a new book that our readers
should know about, please let the editor know. You can review it yourself or we can find someone else to review it. We are
always looking for new titles to include in this section.
Member News
Did you recently change jobs, start
a consulting business, get promoted or receive an award?
Don’t be shy. Share your news with your colleagues.
Obituaries
It is very important to many of our
readers to receive word of the passing of a colleague.
We rely on members and immediate family to provide obituaries
of recently deceased members for publication in
BC Forest Professional. Please include a photograph if you can.
Special Feature: BC’s
Forestry Team in Action
Each year in the November/December issue,
BC Forest Professional includes a full-colour
special feature called “BC's Forestry Team in
Action.” In it, we showcase forestry projects
covering all disciplines. We are always on the lookout
for a broad range of forestry projects, from everyday
projects to ones that are innovative or
new. If you have a project to include in this feature,
send us a project photo, a brief project description,
a list of the organizations and professionals involved
and a contact person. The deadline is the beginning
of September each year.
