Practice Standards

The Standards of Professional Practice came into effect on January 4, 2002 and are enshrined in our bylaws as Bylaw 12. They deal with professional practice expectations related to competence, independence, integrity, due diligence and stewardship. The standards augment the Foresters Act and the Code of Ethics in further defining the conduct and practice expected of forest professionals. An interpretive guide accompanies the Standards of Professional Practice to assist members in its implementation.

Members' Obligations
As a member, you need to know your obligations under this bylaw. The association’s Continuing Competency Program is an excellent tool to ensure your continued competency in your area of practice. [more]
