Complaints Overview

A complaint is received by the Registrar & Director of Act Compliance of the ABCFP and is subjected to four tests.
The ABCFP can then proceed with one of three options.
If an investigation takes place, there are two possible outcomes.
A formal hearing is convened to determine whether or not the member(s) is guilty. All parties are required to attend the hearing.
After the hearing is finished, a detailed report will be sent to all parties that formally announces the guilt or innocence of the member(s) and the imposed penalty. (if necessary).
The complaint can be closed.
The Registrar & Director of Act Compliance can suggest that the parties use Alternative Complaint Resolution.
The complaint can be investigated.
The investigation volunteers find that there are no grounds for the complaint. This means that member(s) being investigated are found to be innocent of any wrongdoing.
